Session 2: Courageous Priorities – Bible Study 2

Anytime our selfish desires take priority over God’s Word in our lives, we sin. That sin has powerful implications for our spiritual health as well as the condition of our family’s spiritual health.

When we desire the things of this world more than the things of God, we open up our lives and our family to dissatisfaction and ultimately to the consequences of our actions. Misplaced values mean displaced lives.

“Do not love the world or the things that belong to the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For everything that belongs to the world- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s lifestyle -is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.”
