Before we begin this study, I want to briefly explain why this topic is important.

For some of you, divorce may be a very personal subject. You may have experienced it yourself, watched your parents go through it, or know someone whose marriage is struggling right now. Others may feel like this topic has little relevance to their current season of life. However, the reality is that divorce touches nearly every family, every church, and every community in some way.

Even if you are not facing these issues personally, there is a strong possibility that at some point God will place someone in your life who is. A friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, or fellow believer may come to you looking for answers, guidance, encouragement, or simply someone willing to listen. When that happens, it is important that we are prepared to respond with biblical truth rather than personal opinions or cultural beliefs.

The purpose of this study is not to condemn anyone or make people feel guilty about their past. Every situation is different, and every story carries its own challenges and hurts. Our goal is simply to understand what God’s Word says about divorce, separation, remarriage, reconciliation, and restoration.

As you go through these lessons, I encourage you to approach them with an open heart and a willingness to learn. Allow Scripture to be your guide. Ask God for wisdom and understanding. Most importantly, remember that the same God who speaks truth also extends grace, mercy, healing, and hope through Jesus Christ.

Let’s open God’s Word together and discover what He has to say.
