Before the Aisle
Welcome to Before the Aisle, a 12-lesson journey toward marriage that I prayerfully believe will change your life and your relationship forever.
If you’re here, it means you’re taking this season of your life seriously—and I want you to know that I deeply honor that. The decision to pursue marriage isn’t just about planning a beautiful wedding or picking out the right venue—it’s about intentionally preparing your heart, your mind, your spirit, and your relationship to reflect the heart of God in one of the most sacred covenants you will ever enter. Marriage is holy. It’s designed by God. And when done His way, it becomes one of the most powerful demonstrations of the Gospel on earth.
But let me be honest: in our world today, the number of couples entering marriage unprepared—emotionally, spiritually, and relationally—is staggering. We live in a culture that focuses more on the event than the covenant. More on the excitement than the endurance. And because of that, so many marriages crumble under pressure they were never equipped to handle. That’s why pre-marital discipleship is not just helpful—it’s essential.
This course isn’t fluff. It’s not designed to tell you what you want to hear. It’s here to tell you the truth—God’s truth—about what marriage really is, and how to walk into it with open eyes and a Christ-filled heart. You’ll be challenged. You’ll be stretched. But I promise, you’ll be better for it. Because when you invite Jesus into the center of your relationship now, you’re building a foundation that will withstand the storms later.
Each lesson in this course will address a vital part of your relationship journey. We’ll talk about everything—from how to honor God in your dating life to how to resolve conflict in a godly way. From guarding your purity, to navigating family dynamics, to planning the wedding day with the bigger picture of your life and legacy in mind. You’ll learn how to pray together, hear God together, and walk in unity with grace and purpose. You’ll also explore difficult subjects like children, finances, and communication with difficult people—because marriage doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It exists in real life. And we want you ready for all of it.
Every week, you’ll receive a full lesson, six daily devotionals to walk through as a couple, a prayer focus, an action step to apply, and reflection questions to help you dive deep and grow closer—not just to each other, but to Christ. On the seventh day, I encourage you to receive your spiritual nourishment from your local church. Worship together. Serve together. Let the body of Christ strengthen your foundation. Sundays are your day of rest, reflection, and renewal—use it well.
As the Founder of Restored Warriors, I’ve walked with hundreds of men through deep healing, transformation, and discipleship. And one of the things I’ve seen time and time again is this: marriage either magnifies your healing or exposes your brokenness. This course is your opportunity to deal with that now—before the weight of marriage presses in. Let God use this time to refine, mature, and prepare you both for what’s ahead.
With my years of working with men, addictions, and marriages, this is a compilation of teachings on the subjects that have been most left out of typical “pre-marital counseling.” These are the hard conversations that most avoid but are absolutely vital to address before entering into a covenant designed by God and built to last a lifetime.
If at any point during this journey you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply need guidance—please know, I’m here. You can reach out to me. This isn’t just a course. It’s a calling. And I consider it a privilege to walk beside you as you prepare to walk down the aisle.
Let’s make this season count. Let’s invite Jesus into every conversation, every decision, every moment. Let’s build something holy.
With all my heart,

P.S.
Although this course is written in the format of a weekly journey, please understand—this is not a schedule to follow. This is a foundation to build. Take your time. Sit with what convicts you. Reread what stirs something in your spirit. If you find yourself needing to slow down, do it. If a week becomes a month, that’s okay. If you feel led to stop and go back to a previous section, obey that nudge. This is not about checking boxes—it’s about building a marriage that lasts.
There’s no reward for speed in this. There’s only fruit in depth.
And as you go, stay in the Word. Daily. Not out of obligation, but because your life together will not survive on emotion alone. You need Scripture like you need oxygen. You need it in the silence. In the conflict. In the joy. In the planning. In the building. Let the Word of God shape the way you speak to one another, how you make decisions, how you pray, how you protect each other, and how you prepare for forever.
This isn’t just a course.
This is the beginning of covenant.
So don’t rush it.
Just walk it out—together, surrendered, and rooted in truth.
